SURROGACY IN ISRAEL FOR GAY COUPLES AND SINGLE PEOPLE

Currently in Israel gay couples as well as single men and women cannot avail of surrogacy services and as a result the only option open to them is to travel overseas and enter into international surrogacy agreements.  This all about to change.

According to the Times of Israel a Bill which would permit gay couples and single people in Israel to have access to surrogacy services there has been approved by the Cabinet.  It is reported that the legislation is now set to be presented for a Knesset vote at a later date and that it is anticipated that the legislation will pass into law.
